(Duluth, GA) JOHN FOGERTY’s highly anticipated world wide “1969” tour is pleased to announce The Arena at Gwinnett Center on Saturday, MAY 9 at 8PM.
Beginning May 2nd with a special appearance at the Beale Street Music Festival, the tour will continue to the east coast with stops in North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina before heading south to Florida with shows in St. Augustine, Tampa and W. Palm Beach. FOGERTY’s “1969” continues throughout May, June and July with a previously announced show at the iconic Hollywood Bowl, scheduled for July 15th. Additional summer dates will be announced shortly, with the U.S. portion of the “1969” tour set to conclude in August.
The “1969” World Tour began last November with a cross country trek of Canada. Seventeen shows in all, many of which sold out, and the crowds were screaming for more. Fogerty’s “1969” Tour was named one of the Top 20 Global Concert Tours of 2024 by Pollstar. Praise for FOGERTY’s delivery, as well as for his exceptionally talented band, came from the Hamilton Spectator, stating: “… this band that Fogerty is fronting now is probably better than that little four-piece garage band known as Creedence Clearwater Revival.”
Tickets for the Fogerty’s “1969” tour range from $35.00 - $65.00 and goes on-sale to the public beginning Friday, March 13 at 10AM. Buy tickets at GwinnettCenter.com, AXS.com, The Arena box office or by calling (770) 626-2464.
FOGERTY’s music, his lyrics and his voice, resounded through an amazing and never duplicated release of three separate albums with Creedence Clearwater Revival (Bayou Country, Green River, and Willy and the Poor Boys). In that year – 1969 - FOGERTY gave the nation, even the world, an emotional and intellectual marker forever burned within our collective psyche. Now, in his 69th year, FOGERTY is calling us back, to re-invigorate those ties that bind us, with his upcoming “1969” World Tour.
FOGERTY has also been hard at work on his first autobiography, which is now set for release this fall.
